Palomita and Disco Collection (2012 - 2015)

Collaborating with various artisan families in the town of Gualupita, Estado de Mexico, we worked with weavers to revive a typical textured weaving style which became popular in Mexico in the 1950’s through the 1960’s. We expanded upon this traditional weave by adding in playful details of gold, interesting color mixes and making x-large floor pillows for seating inanition to combining various weaving styles.
