A special collection filled with one of a kind pieces hand dyed blue with rare Oaxacan indigo.
In late September 2024 I traveled to meet the last remaining farmers and producers of this majestic crop. Read about my adventure here I then spent October creating new work for BLUE hand-dying each piece, wanting the true color of blue to stand on its own. A monochrome ode to the complicated history and beauty of real indigo, I also just wanted to feel awash in Yves Klein. The natural silks and cottons were transformed by the indigo into what now looks like textured suede and light-washed denim, lending a unique worn-in rustic feel to each piece. These are looks meant to be worn and loved every day, nothing too precious but still truly exquisite, pile on the blues!
Pop on our BLUE playlist while you shop, imagine as though I’m here with you sharing words about our studio’s process and the incredible farmers and producers I met on this journey.
Here you will find images of the final collection alongside videos and images of the farmers and producers and videos and images on my dying processes.
